Net Scams Not Slowing Down
Forbes — Nov1 — According to the Federal Trade Commission, consumers reported that they handed over $1.1 billion to scammers in 2006, up from about $570 million in 2004. Consumer Sentinel, a database maintained by the FTC, received more than 670,000 complaints in 2006–about 430,000 of which had to do with fraud. LINK TO OPW POST
