Online Cheating Is A Booming Business
SYDNEY MORNING HERALD – Mar 26 – 'LIFE is short. Have an affair!'' That is the line Noel Biderman uses to spruik his dating service, ashleymadison.com, which he claims has more than 5M philandering members, including 10,000 in Australia. An internet search throws up countless websites for cheating spouses, including meet2cheat.com.au, affairsclub.com, lonelyhousewives.com, philanderers.com and benaughty.com. ''I'm often asked if all these sites are causing more affairs,'' said the VP of Relationships Australia NSW, Anne Hollonds. ''To some extent it's easier, you can just sit at a computer. But these tend to be people who are wanting to escape their circumstances and derive the benefits from having a liaison with someone else. There have always been people who wanted to do that but they found other ways of doing it.'' FULL ARTICLE @ SYDNEY MORNING HERALD

BUSINESSWIRE – Mar 24 – The top change? The Internet as a means to communicate more easily, according to the latest DatingData poll from SeniorPeopleMeet. A clear majority of single seniors (43%) named this innovation as the best transformation. Close behind was the fact that either gender can be the one to initiate a date. On the other hand, single seniors were not nearly as enthusiastic about certain changes, including feeling less pressure to get married and less stigma about sex.

GameCrush Launches Online Dating For Gamers
BIT-TECH – Mar 24 - The service aims to connect paying customers with game-playing ladies and while GameCrush only supports Xbox 360 at the moment, it hopes to expand to Wii, PlayStation 3 and World of Warcraft in the future. There are currently supposed to be ~1,200 PlayDate profiles. Dates cost 400 GameCrush credits – which can only be bought in batches of 500, predictably – and PlayDates keep 60% of the money from each date. 500 credits cost $8.25 USD and GameCrush has figured out the pricing based on what it claims is the equivalent cost of buying a girl a drink. MatchMatrix Compatibility Testing
OPW – Mar 24 - MatchMatrix operates as an oracle in predicting friendship and lovers compatibility based on an analysis of birth dates. It models satisfaction and longevity in platonic and romantic relationships as the function of “energetic compatibility.” The energetic pattern is reportedly fixed at birth and is synonymous with being identified as a human being. MatchMatrix insists that its matching method is not numerology, astrology, biorhythms or traditional personality testing. Read the full study by James Houran and Rense Lange.
