The Rise Of Minimalist Sex Apps
NYMAG – Aug 19 – "We wanted an easy way to find sex," says Pure's co-founder Sidorenko. "We thought it would be cool to use an approach like Uber, where you create the request, and you get a car pretty soon. We thought it would be cool to have something like that to find a sex buddy." From that brainstorm came Pure, a new app that brings the on-demand convenience of Uber to the bedroom. They hope to be part of a cultural change surrounding online sex-discovery. They've enlisted female sexologist Carol Queen to help them reach women, and they're planning a series of marketing events at New York bars in the coming weeks.
LeadingDatingSites.co.uk’s Online Dating Expert Is Fake
MIRROR.CO.UK – Feb 6 – In his assessment of GirlsDateForFree.com, supposed expert Robert Bailey wrote: "Wherever there is a lot of women, men will follow. Bailey gave GirlsDateForFree 3 stars on the review site leadingdatingsites.co.uk, which said: "We've researched in depth the best and most used dating websites in UK." According to leadingdatingsites, Bailey is one of the top opinion makers in the media and has been researching online dating since 2007. But it turns out he is as fake as some of the people apparently seeking love online. The picture of Robert Bailey which leadingdatingsites.co.uk uses is in fact David Burnett, a former law student at Sydney University in Australia who died in an accident in 2008. Leadingdatingsites suddenly removed the pictures of Robert Bailey. It replaced the shots with ones of Henning Wiechers, the CEO of Metaflake, the German company which owns the website.

Tinder: The Casual Sex App That Makes Us Even More Vain
TELEGRAPH.CO.UK – Aug 13 – Tinder is like speed dating without the awkward conversation, and with thousands of potential matches in the room. Tinder isn’t about getting laid or finding love at all, it’s about validation. People randomly indicate an interest in others just to see if they respond. There are pathetic souls who swipe "like" on literally every single person, and then tell their friends how many matches they have. There is science around this. Studies show that Facebook likes and retweets on Twitter give users a dopamine rush, making them feel happier. Even more tragically, there are people in relationships using Tinder, just to see if they’ve still got it.
