Say Allo Dating App Uses Machine Learning For Better Matches

Posted on April 27, 2017

Sayallo screenshotBIZWEST – Apr 27 – Say Allo is able to measure compatibility without requiring users to submit long questionnaires, said founder Zackary Lewis. They only answer 10 questions about themselves. As users starts swiping, the algorithm learns about what they like and dislike. The algorithm is even going so far as to detect facial features a person prefers. The more a person uses Say Allo, the more the app shows matches that coincide with preferences. To develop Say Allo, Lewis partnered with Steve Shaw, who helped built Amazon's learning algorithm, Kris Collins, who previously developed apps for Audio and The North Face, and Brian Shaw, a co-developer of cognitive behavior therapy.
