TECH CRUNCH – July 31 – Google is cracking down on the apps published to the Play Store. An updated version of the company's Developer Policy, released this week, indicates the company will now ban a wider variety of apps including cryptocurrency miners, those selling firearms and accessories, those that aim to trick children into downloading adult-themed apps, and apps built using automated tools or wizard services, or based on templates (only apps that are created by an automated tool and submitted to Google Play by the operator of that service on behalf of other persons are not allowed).

China’s Marriage Rate Plummets As Women Choose To Stay Single Longer
NPR.ORG – July 31 – Mrs. Wang has come to Shanghai's "marriage market" each weekend for the past three months to try and find a suitable husband for her daughter. Wang blames her 33-year-old daughter's single status on the seven years she spent in the U.K., where Wang says her daughter "became more independent." But there are other reasons – apart from Western influence – why China's marriage rate has plummeted by ~30% in the last five years. Dai Xuan, 30, works as the editor of a luxury magazine in Shanghai and says her own reasons are economic. "Before, in China, you married to survive," she says. "Now I'm living well by myself, so I have higher expectations in marriage."
Grindr To Host HIV/AIDS Policy Experts & Advocates At Its First HIV Data Privacy Summit

The summit will convene HIV/AIDS policy experts and LGBTQ+ community leaders to provide feedback on the recent changes made to Grindr's privacy policy and to develop a set of guiding principles that could be adopted industry-wide to ensure protection and transparency for social app users who self-disclose sexual health information.
