AXIOS – Grindr is partnering with Spectrum Labs to implement an AI system for content moderation. Spectrum's contextual AI service works to solve specific issues, such as identifying the sale of drugs and sex as well as trying to detect underage users. Spectrum has a set of algorithms it has tuned over the years.
Bumble Signs 50 Female College Athletes to NIL Deals for Title IX’s 50th Anniversary
FORBES – In honor of the 50th anniversary of Title IX, Bumble has signed 50 female college athletes to name, image and likeness deals as part of a new "50for50" program. The women will also be Bumble ambassadors on their respective campuses. This announcement adds to Bumble's previous multi-year investments in sports. In 2019, Bumble also launched a multi-year partnership with global esports organization Gen.G to create Team Bumble, an all-women professional esports team.

Blink Date Joins Snap’s Latest Accelerator Class
DOT.LA – LA-based online dating startup Blink doesn't show singles any photos of potential matches right away. Instead, the app pairs users in 10-minute, audio-only speed dates. The app, still in beta, matches users only if there's mutual interest. Blink was one of eight startups to pitch themselves to investors during Snap's Yellow Accelerator Demo Day. The event is part of a 12-week curriculum run by Snap, which mentors early-stage startups on topics ranging from business strategy to fundraising. Snap invests $150K in each firm.
