UKTN – A dating ad by Seeking.com has been banned by UK regulators for promoting "sexist and negative gender stereotypes." The ad, posted on Reddit, featured an older man discarding a woman's photo in favor of four young women in bikinis, accompanied by the text "Be the catch" and claims of a 4:1 women-to-men ratio. Complaints were filed with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), which ruled the ad perpetuated harmful stereotypes, suggesting women's value lies in their youth and attractiveness. Seeking.com defended the ad as humorous but agreed to remove it and comply with the ASA's guidelines against sexist content.
