PRNEWSWIRE – SugarDaddyMeet has introduced mandatory Selfie Liveness Verification for both new and existing users, making it the first dating platform to enforce universal verification. With over 8M users worldwide, this initiative aims to combat the rise in romance scams and ensure authenticity across the platform. Users must submit a live selfie, which is analyzed using AI to confirm they are real and matched against their profile photos. Once verified, accounts receive a verified badge, signaling trust and credibility. Unlike most platforms that only verify new users, SugarDaddyMeet requires every account to undergo verification, eliminating outdated, unchecked profiles.

Grindr Reports Q4 Results, Shares Fall

GrindrINVESTING.COM – Grindr posted Q4 revenue of $97.6M, beating the estimate of $91M. However, Grindr's shares fell 2.4% following the earnings release, as investors appeared to focus on the company’s 2025 outlook. Grindr's initial 2025 guidance calls for 24% or greater revenue growth and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 41% or higher. While these figures represent continued growth, they may not have met the market's more ambitious expectations.

ProSieben Shares Hit as Investors Question Digital Asset Strategy

Prosiebensat logoREUTERS – ProSiebenSat.1 shares dropped sharply after the company announced it's in talks to buy back General Atlantic's minority stake in NuCom Group, which owns several digital businesses, including ParshipMeet Group. This would give ProSieben full ownership of ParshipMeet and other NuCom assets while Verivox (a price comparison site) and Flaconi (a perfume retailer) are still being prepared for sale. Investors reacted negatively because they expected ProSieben to sell off non-TV businesses and not buy more of them. This follows pressure from its biggest shareholders, Italy's MFE-MediaForEurope and Czech group PPF, to focus only on its core broadcasting business.
