That decision comes after OneMillionMoms.com, a division of the American Family Association, launched a campaign urging the dating site to withdraw their financial support.

Spark Is Profitable Again But Needs Sustainable Strategy
SEEKING ALPHA – June 26 – Spark Networks had been suffering significant losses until mid 2014 when new management came in. Their first action was to cut the marketing spent on ChristianMingle. Almost immediately, the company became profitable, but this strategy is unsustainable. A prolonged period of subscriber attrition can be devastating. However, temporarily propping up the company has given new management time to implement its plan to reinvigorate Spark without having to worry about cash. The plan is simple: upgrade technology and begin redeploying ads dollars for ChristianMingle in a more intelligent manner. ChristianMingle looks to be partnering with mega churches and Christian organizations. CEO Michael Egan also noted that customers who were surveyed mentioned that there was a distinct lack of humor in any of the company's ads.

Online Dating Stigma Hasn’t Shifted Completely
FOX40 – Lesley and her husband Mike are part of a growing number of people who have met their spouse thanks to online dating. Shayan Zadeh, the CEO of Zoosk, cites recent research that found one out of every three relationships started online. Along with Zadeh, FOX40 spoke with representatives from Match.com, eHarmony, and Christian Mingle. FOX40 also went to a mall and asked people what they thought about online dating. The results were 50-50.

US NEWS – July 31 – A class action suit against Successful Match alleges that the company broke the law and its promises of confidentiality to customers on PositiveSingles.com by sharing their HIV and STD statuses on "thousands" of spinoff sites, including HIVGayMen.com, STDHookup.com and Blackpoz.com. Meanwhile ChristianMingle.com, a datingsite for Christian singles, is also embroiled in a class action suit, for not offering its dating services to same-sex couples. Christian Mingle is being sued for a violation of human rights law in California, where same-sex marriage is legal.
