BUSINESS INSIDER – Mar 10 – Sway CEO Adam Huie is currently working on his third dating app. All of Huie's apps – Let's Meet, Sway, and his new one, Tryst – use a similar anonymous matching interface in which couples can only find out more about each other if they both agree to do so. Sway just partnered with Bravo TV and its new show "Online Dating Rituals of the American Male." Sway specifically created this new app for the show. Previously, Huie co-founded Hatch Labs, the mobile incubator that launched Tinder. In June, Huie became CEO of dating startup Let's Date. He left Let's Date for Sway, which is essentially Let's Date with a different name and a slightly tweaked user interface.

Let’s Date Names New CEO
ALLTHINGSD – June 25 – Let's Date, the mobile matchmaking app startup, named Adam Huie its new CEO. Huie was a co-founder and director of strategy and operations at Hatch Labs, the development shop responsible for creating Tinder. Tinder is Let’s Date’s largest competitor. After Tinder was built, parent company IAC shut down Hatch Labs and shuttered many of the projects within. Tinder, the most successful app to come out of Hatch Labs by far, is still up and running under IAC’s ownership. Huie and Let’s Date prefer the more detailed, full-profile approach. “We actually want to match folks together to go on a date, so we provide extra features after the match,” said Huie.
Let’s Date App Lets Friends Match Their Friends
BUSINESS INSIDER – Mar 5 – Let's Date, an app that launched out of beta last month, introduced a new feature called "Wingman." Everyone on Let's Date has a dater card, which features basic information like age, sex, and interest. Once you're in the app, you swipe through dating cards and if you like what you see, you can click "Let's Date." If that person hits "Let's Date" on your profile, the two of you will be able to chat and plan your first date. With the new Wingman feature, your friends can browse through the app to help find potential matches for you.
Let’s Date’s Sean Suhl On Why His App Is Better
NBC CHICAGO – Feb 22 – Sean Suhl is the general manager of Let's Date, the iOS-only app that picks out people for the users to date and then gives them two choices: 'no thanks' or 'let's date.' The app launched in San Francisco not long ago and is due to roll out in Chicago.
Q: What have you learned?
A: Women don't necessarily want to see the person who's the best match for them. People want to browse and look through people before they get to someone who's great for them.
Q: What else is different for you guys?
A: We want it to feel as much just like you walked into a bar. If there's someone you're attracted to, you'd say yes. And if there's not, then you'd say no. We allow you to cross things out on a card you don't like. If a woman says she doesn't like you, you can't message her.
Q: What are you most curious to see in terms of audience use?
A: Women in New York want to go out for drinks. Women in San Francisco want to go out for coffee. It's just interesting and we didn't realize that cultural difference between those two cities.
Q: Has the launch of Crazy Blind Date affected your strategy?
A: No. I think women want to know a certain amount about someone before they go meet them in public. You can't even log in without Facebook on our app. And if you don't have 50 friends and you haven't been on Facebook for at least a year you can't even log into our app.

SuicideGirls.com Creators Launch New Dating App: Let’s Date
TECH CRUNCH – Oct 30 – A team of SuicideGirls founders and an early employee have created a new dating app called Let's Date. Users sign up via Facebook Connect, but the service requires at least 50 friends to join. The service populates a member's “dating card” by analyzing their Facebook profile. Users may also hide their dating card from their Facebook friends. According to co-founder, Sean Suhl, “You just casually browse people’s cards and let us know your reaction and our system learns how to deliver better cards to you.”
