Matchmaking with Money in Mind

Posted on September 29, 2011

Perfectpartners header GLOBE AND MAIL – Sep 29 – Gloria MacDonald, founder of Perfect Partners, says both men and women equally want a partner who shares the same financial values. Asking about finances on the first, second, or third date is tacky, according to Ms. MacDonald. By your fifth date though, you’re okay. Money and sex are two of the early-stage conflicts.

Make Me a Match

Posted on March 20, 2006

PerfectpartnerscaTORONTO SUN — Mar 19 — Traditional matchmaking is making a comeback. Gloria Macdonald, one of Toronto's top professional matchmakers, owns Perfect Partners and says when her clients arrive at her door, they've "just about tried everything" to meet someone.  She points out that online dating services have had a good effect on the dating world as they've taken the stigma away from exploring a variety of methods to find someone special. Macdonald says she works personally with every client, most of whom are Toronto women 40 plus. Lisa Ronis Personal Matchmaking started in 2000. Her clients are high-end, busy, professional men and women, 30 plus, who want to be married. Perfect Partners charges $2,895 to $6,500.

Mark Brooks: The online dating industry is leaving money on the table. Singles want more service.  They want dates with compatible singles.
