UPSTART BUSINESS JOURNAL – Sep 24 – "Men are on all the apps", says Molly Messenger, head of product at Swoon. Women, on the other hand, tend to be more skeptical. That's where Swoon hope to stand out. It is a free mobile dating app, similar to Tinder, that is geared toward making women comfortable using their smartphones to find dates. In the coming months, Swoon will release female-only features, such as the ability to text profiles to a friend. The big challenge that awaits Swoon is monetization.

MASHABLE – Sep 9 – Swoon, a social discovery site, overhauled its mobile dating app, opting for a new design that will resonate with its female users. Swoon also announced a new "Look Back" feature that lets users recall people they may have accidentally rejected. In October, the app will debut its first female-only feature: a messaging service that allows women to share a profile via text message with friends. Swoon isn't just built for women, it's also being built by women.
HUFFINGTON POST – Apr 14 – Swoon launched last month as part of a larger initiative by Tagged to branch out into standalone apps. It launched Android to start, an iOS version is expected in May. Users connect their Facebook account — no questionnaires to fill out, and are flipping through a bunch of Facebook profile photos with first names, ages, mutual friends and mutual interests listed. They flick a card in any direction or hit an 'X' to move to the next one. If they are interested in someone, they hit a giant green checkmark. The other party is notified of interest only if they are interested as well. Another app, Yoke, was based on the same concept, utilizing the Facebook Social Graph and Interest Graph to play matchmaker.
