Posted on April 15, 2009

Therightone togetherdating loga TIMES UNION — Apr 13 — Although we’re in the age of technology, phone conversations are a must, says Paul A. Falzone, CEO The Right One and Together Dating. Hearing the other person’s voice on the phone allows you to process more information. Not only are you listening to what they say, but how they say it.

How to Get Online Subscribers To Purchase Offline Services

Posted on March 5, 2009

Therightone togetherdating loveaccess loga MARKETING SHERPA — Mar 4 — Paul Falzone, CEO of International Dating Ventures (IDV), purchased LoveAccess.com in 2008. He planned to use the dating site to produce leads for a high-end matchmaking company, The Right One/TogetherDating. Falzone’s marketing team attracts online subscribers for LoveAccess.com and leads for The Right One/TogetherDating mostly through affiliate/co-registration, paid search and SEO. “What’s important is to identify if this user qualifies for matchmaking,” says Terry Fitzpatrick, COO of IDV. The team needs to know: Does the prospect live near one of the matchmaking offices? Does the prospect earn enough to consider paying the $3,000 matchmaking fees? Is the prospect single? As a rule, the team won’t email online dating subscribers about the matchmaking services unless they have been in the database for 90 days. “We give them 90 days just to find out … is online dating working?", says Falzone. If it’s not, they’re asked if they would be interested in matchmaking. The last step is a contact via phone. The team generates ~15,000+ leads per month for the telemarketing centers. Results: This year, 25% of gross revenue for TRO/TD came from converting online subscribers into offline matchmaking buyers. FULL ARTICLE @ MARKETING SHERPA

The Recession. Isn’t It Romantic?

Posted on February 12, 2009

Online dating dobry obrazek NY TIMES — Feb 12 — Online dating has had a following ever since dating sites popped up around '94, said Mark Brooks, editor of Online Personals Watch. The industry then started leveling off in Feb '05. "Now at a time when money is scarce or uncertain, they don't want to go through it alone," said Dr. Pepper Schwartz of Perfectmatch.com, which had a 51% increase in new members in the Q4 of '08 compared with '07. Speeddate.com's traffic is up 60%. "During recessions people stay at home more, they don't want to pay and go to bars. They're going online to meet each other," said Markus Frind, the CEO of Plentyoffish, a free site, where visits have increased 77% from Dec '07 to Dec '08, and 32% over the last three months. While "marriage" and "children" were always popular key words, Mr. Frind said, during this period last year Plentyoffish.com users mentioned the word "job" in their profiles 5.5% of the time. This year, that number has risen to 7.7%. On BlackPeopleMeet, the percentage of people listing "job" as a criterion when asked 'What are you looking for in a partner?' increased 18% from Jan '08 to Jan '09. Offline romance specialists say they are also seeing a spike in business. From Oct through Dec'08, new membership at The Right One/Together Dating, a dating service with 60 locations across the country, increased ~18% compared with the same period the previous year. The price of membership starts at $1,000. "People are putting down deposits rather than paying in full, which is fine," said CEO, Paul Falzone.

Looking For Love

Posted on December 31, 2008

Therightone togetherdating loga SW TIMES — Dec 29 — Traditional dating is almost a thing of the past. But there is a lot to be said for meeting a person face to face. Most experts claim that while the online sites may be good for meeting people, it can't compare to actually meeting someone in person. "The anonymity of many online dating sites may provide a slew of impersonal introductions, but what happens when you get to the next step … meeting them in person?" asks Paul A. Falzone, CEO of The Right One and Together Dating. "The ways of meeting someone have changed, but the rules of behavior have not." Matchmaking companies do a lot more screening before they match someone. Some dating sites offer virtual dating, where each person creates an avatar and go on a virtual play date online.

Is love Tied To The Economy?

Posted on December 2, 2008

Therightone togetherdating loga PRESS RELEASE — Dec 1 — Despite consumers' fall in discretionary income, the demand for professional matchmaking remains the same. People view dating as a necessity and traditional brick and mortar dating services continue to grow. 'When times get tough, it helps to have someone there for you. How To Build A Successful Relationship

Posted on November 21, 2008

Therightone togetherdating loga PRESS RELEASE — Nov 20 — Paul A. Falzone, CEO of The Right One and Together Dating has a few tips to help you out of your dating rut and create a fresh approach to dating in the new year. 'Dating is a lot like when you learned to ride a bike when you were a kid. Sure, you fell off the bike, but you kept getting back on, never forgetting what made you fall off. Fortunately with dating, you have the benefit of learning from others how not to fall the next time,' said Falzone. Tips from Paul Falzone:
- Take a look at your past relationships.
– Leave enough time between the end of one relationship and the beginning of the next.
– Give new relationships proper time to develop.
– Long-term relationship lagging? Do not sweep problems under the carpet.
