WhatsYourPrice.com Quantifies the Cost of Dating Younger Women

Posted on September 12, 2011

Whatsyourprice logo PR WEB – Sep 12 - WhatsYourPrice.com, the dating site where singles can buy and sell first dates, announced the results of a five month long study to determine the ideal dating age gap between men and women, and to quantify the cost of dating younger women online. Women are most attracted to men who are six years older than they are. Older men with money can close the dating age gap disadvantage with money. Men who want to date women over 10 years younger than themselves have to pay approximately 13% more than the average to close every year of age gap. A man who is 40 years older will have to pay approximately 400% (or 4 times) more than a man who is only 10 years older to attract the interest of the same woman.

WhatsYourPrice.com Estimates: First Date in Chicago Worth $173

Posted on June 13, 2011

Whatsyourprice logo RED EYE – June 10 – Single guys in Chicago who signed up on WhatsYourPrice.com, are shelling out an average of $173 to "buy" a date, according to Brandon Wade, CEO and founder of the site. That price makes Chicago among the most "generous" cities when it comes to paying for dates. The site went live in March and now counts ~100K active members. How it works is users fill out a profile and go into the category of generous, which pays for a date, or attractive, which gets paid for a date. Then, an offer for a date is made, negotiated, accepted or rejected. Last week, the site surpassed the 50K first date mark.

Paypal Bans WhatsYourPrice.com

Posted on May 6, 2011

Whatsyourprice logo ONLINE DATING POST – May 5 – PayPal has deemed WhatsYourPrice morally unsuitable and turned off their account. Brandon Wade, Founder and CEO of WhatsYourPrice commented: "Paypal has decided that accepting money for going on a first date should be banned, while it has for years provided payment for dating sites, such as Ashley Madison, that promote infidelity. Obviously, PayPal has a double ethical standard where it’s not okay to pay for a date, unless you want to cheat on your spouse."

Putting A Price On Love

Posted on May 5, 2011

Whatsyourprice logo SF GATE – May 5 – Brandon Wey's new dating site is called WhatsYourPrice.com. His company Infostream operates such sites as SeekingArrangement.com and SeekingMillionaire.com. Both businesses were instant successes — SeekingArrangement.com now has ~800K members. WhatsYourPrice.com is a site that lets "generous" members bid cold hard cash — $20, $100, even $1,000 a pop — for dates with "attractive" ones. It's a concept he calls "eBay for dating." It's worked so far. The site has registered 30K members who have already paid (and been paid) for ~5K dates. "On WhatsYourPrice, you put money down to get a girl's attention, she gets the money to reduce her risk in wanting to meet you, and you get a guaranteed chance to prove yourself," Brandong says.

Mark Brooks: WhatsYourPrice is a fun spin on an old model. Hooker…I mean hookup sites for the money-inclined and money-laiden. Lay being the operative word.

New Dating Site Is Indistinguishable From Prostitution

Posted on April 8, 2011

Whatsyourprice logo GAWKER – Apr 7 – "WhatsYourPrice.com is like eBay for dating," says the site's founder, Brandon Wade. "When you see a hot single you want to date, just make an offer and buy the first date." Wade is also the genius behind sugar daddy dating service SeekingArrangement.com. Obviously, the first question about WhatsYourPrice.com is "How is this not prostitution or escorting?" "This is all about paying for the first date. There is absolutely no sex involved, and except perhaps the chance of sex at some point in the future if you are able to successfully charm and seduce", said the site's spokesperson.

Mark Brooks: I prefer the HowAboutWe concept. Imaginative dating ideas driving connections. But WhatsYourPrice has a niche. Guys who have money, and want to cut to the chase. A date, and less tappity tap online.
