I spoke to them, they told me they held the same author right for this software, even showed me some US copyright certificate.

I went to Dategrand.com. The top of the screen has 6 tabs; Join Free, Log In, Online Chat, Search, Forum, Rate Photos.
Nice features, decent layout, search worked ok and I was able to rate photos. However, when I clicked on the Tab ‘Online Chat’ I was sent to a page with the following text…

Oh, this is just my indian developer has been working on the chat module, so it had been temporarily down.. and in regards to the DateGrand Forum, it’s an additional module as well .. both chat and forum are still under some minor customization.. and now we are almost done with that.. (that’s what Rajeev – my developer from Mumbai told me)… in a few hours it’ll be up’n’running, so no worries at all, Mr. Brooks, Thanks for visiting DateGrand!
Commenting on Mark Brooks post, language issue aside (although i have to agree he is correct), the bigger issue has to do with legacy “past life” associations with AEWebworks. SkaDate was supposedly a partner with AEW until Dec 2004 (see story on http://www.modmysite.com)but apparently has decided to split. I am a very unhappy user of the AEW scripts (AEDating v3&4)which is very buggy with bugs not fixed for the last 3 years. Again pls visit modmysite dot com for other customer stories.
Steve (above posting) is absolutely correct, looks like AEW script and if history is to be a good judge, companies that attempt to morph from one script to another must be thouroughly scrutinized to avoid fleecing potential customers.
Having said that, i think SkaDate should be given a chance to proof that they have not inherited bad genes from its previous cojoined twin AEW.

I went to date grand, are you kidding? I dont think the site was skadate, I think it was an AE webworks site.
I bought an AEW early 2006, what a rip off, paid for the products and they changed the rule soon after. Then my site went out of control and I could not stop visitors from coming in and spamming members, nor could i control what people were doing on the site, once they went to Boonex, this all happened. Then I lost my “free” support that I paid for too. It also took them nearly 2 weeks to complete transfering my site to another host as well. I would never reccommend this product. Please tell me there is an affordable product that works! Julie
there is NO 30 day money back guarantee! they are not based in the United States and I have had research done on this company, they are in western Russia. they simply do not give you any refund during the trial period.
Furthermore, i was able to obtain 1137 members, and although their sales site claims they refund your initial purchase once you gain 1000 active members with face profile, they again claimed that this does not apply to me. furthermore, the site constantly shuts down!
I cannot post my site url because i have gotten threats posted there by anonymous sources, possibly skadate proxies.

Abledating is just plain horrible. Stay away from it I bought a license a few months ago and I regret it very much… same with aspnetdating… nos I´m still looking for the right Dating Script and Skadate seems very good… but I don´t want to make the same mistake as with Abledating and Aspnetdating.
Any recommendations?
