Online Personals Watch — Feb 19 — Online Personals Watch is now listing the monthly top 15 online personals category rankings by special permission of Comscore Mediametrix. I’ve also added a custom listing of the top 20 niche dating sites using Hitwise data, also by special permission.
Hitwise January update: TRUE.com takes over Gay.com to take 4th spot this month. BlackPeopleMeet leaps in to the top 15 at 10th spot. Cupid.com advances two spots to #12 and demotes Hotornot two spots to #14.
Nielsen//Netratings January update: Match.com trumps Yahoo Personals to take the #1 spot and TRUE.com moves ahead of MSN (Match) to take 3rd spot. Adult dating site Mate1.com moves ahead two more spots to #5. Social networking site Tagworld and relationship sites eharmony and Love Happens (Tickle) move up one spot each bumping MyYearBook which disappears from the top 15 ranks this month. PerfectMatch moves up two spots to #10. Friend Finder appears on the charts at #11 and eCrush moves up 3 spots to #12.
Is there anything else you’d like to see in the way of rankings? – Mark Brooks

I think you should post each companies methodology. It is strange how PerfectMatch is listed at #3 on Comscore and #10 on Neilson. I am also always intrigues by the fact that we (Date.com) never appears on Hitwise but always appears in on Neilson and Comscore.
You should do an interview with each company and report their findings.
Btw – Why did you remove Alexa?
If you need additional space I would recomend consolidating the niche sites together, like you’ve done with your top 20 list (nice!), and get rid of the redundant niche sections.

The companies don’t generally want to get into the nitty gritty as to how they measure everything. They each have sizable panels. It would be good to know the specifics of each panel. I’ll send them a list of questions and post the results. Let me know your thoughts on questions.
There are some companies I have never heard of listed in the top 10. It’s only a top 10, Yahoo Personals is missing. I don’t think they’re including many companies that should be included so decided to nix for now.
I’ve listed the major niches, then listed the top niches to give some indication of overall ranking of the major niches.
