American Idol Feature on Myspace
Fox is pushing American Idol on Myspace (via Online Personals Watch). Fox Interactive Media President Ross Levinsohn told investors of a plan to deepen the connection between MySpace, which News Corp. acquired in July for $580 million, and Fox TV….

Let’s not forget that MySpace actually contains realisticly about 20 – 30 Million members. The rest of the profiles are fake profiles, children, porn bots and people who have not returned in the last six months. I enjoy how the media spins myspace to be the largest community on the web. I would like to see some actual real data from myspace that states who actually uses it at least once a month.
In my view once a month hardly consitutes uses anyways. Then it would be nice to get a # of how many porn bots there are. I get several invites a day from these bots, then a # of children on the service. Personally anyone under 18 shouldn’t be using these types of services to begin with. MySpace apparently allows anyone over 14 to register to the site. For what reason 14 year olds should be out playing with friends, doing homework and going to school not finding dates online.
Then give us a number that represents the fake profiles that proliferate their service. I personally think News Corp made a huge mistake purchasing this site. I predict in the next two years other, more reliable, trustworthy social networking sites will take MySpaces place and News Crop will be left with nothing more then a yahoo chatroom. -
myspace will be here for a long time – don’t worry about it BD.
