Brooks recommends only paying for sites that rank less than 50,000 to get the best use of your time and dollars. FULL ARTICLE @ DENVER POST ONLINE
Mark Brooks: Do you agree?

Alexa is not a perfect measurement tool (by any stretch), but it does give an approximate (if flawed) idea of how active a site is.
Of course, when we are ranked well, we love it, and when we aren’t, we hate it and say why it isn’t accurate, so there you go:-)
But, I would say agree that a ranking of 50,000 or less is a pretty good indicator. A much better one is under 10,000, for a real bang for your buck.
Anything higher (ranked lower) than that is way less active, relatively speaking.
Alexa is a great measurement tool and I find it to be pretty acurate. Why did you remove it from the sidebar?
Where is the mention of quality of membership? Best use of time and dollars depends on quality, not traffic.
