CANADA.COM — June 3 — Financial Post LifeMates wouldn't give a quote over the phone, so he visited the Calgary office. Two hours later and $2,000 lighter, he left with high hopes and a contract for love for six dates. "I'm socially handicapped by my work schedule," he says. The high-priced membership fee assures he'll meet women who are motivated. CityMix, another Calgary match-making service, serves "wealth-driven" clients and screens clients; $300 for men and $150 for women, 160 initial members, $50 per date, men pay for dinner.

Mark Brooks: Citymix is onto something, this is a nice model. Check out LoveAccess as well. Nelson has been busy.

LifeMates sucks. I gave them over $2,000 and didn’t get a single introduction in over a year. An entire year. Then they refused to give my money back.
Sorry folks, this thread is a little too much for OPW. I’m going to have delete it. Please feel free to repost non-anonymously.
Someone’s reputation has to back up your comments. If it’s not yours, it defaults to mine, and I can’t really stand by your comments as I know nothing of the company in question. Thanks for your understanding. I really do appreciate your comments and would encourage you to repost.

I was a non-paying member of Adult Casual Dating.
What I like:
Women were real and local.
You did a good job at screening.
Flirt option was nice.
Shout was interesting.
What I didn’t like.
People cannot read, non-paying member cannot open email. (Why someone would send you a note you cannot open is strange).
One of your flirts can be “I cannot open mail”.
When you reject a profile you need to highlight the offending phase (s) so that people know what to edit.
