NEWS — July 20 — Mobile dating applications are proving to be amongst the most profitable data services for mobile operators according to SmartTrust and application developer Landmat. Landmat monitored service usage across two European and one Asian operator for a period of 12 months. Surprisingly, although the majority of users were 25 or under, more than 50% of revenue actually came from users over 25 years of age, with those over 30 representing the most profitable user group.

Mark Brooks: Webdate has a great mobile service that is live on Sprint and due to go live on other major services shortly. Match is working on a downloadable mobile phone dating app. You'll have to go to Japan to see it though.
