OPW — Nov 16 – Online Personals Watch, Mobile Dating Watch and Frequent Flirters are now available to you in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portugese and Spanish…courtesy of Google's translation service. See links on the lower left side bar. I tried Alta Vista / Yahoo's Babelfish service from Systran but it only seemed to work for the Asian languages. I wonder how accurate the Google translations are. If you happen to speak another language, perhaps you could comment.
The translations are quite correct as far as I can see for Spanish and Frech (I try Alta Vista).
But as all teh translators say when rendering the text into another language some layers of the meaning are lost and they can be understood only in the original.
So translations give us a chance to understand the main idea and to get the truth we still need to get back to the first language. At least it’s my point of view.
The German Translation is pretty bad and to a large degree senseless for somebody who hasn’t read the English version first.

Ver los acoplamientos en la barra más baja del lado izquierdo. Intenté Alta Vista/el servicio de Babelfish de Yahoo de SYSTRAN pero se parecía solamente trabajar para las idiomas asiáticas. Me pregunto cómo es exacto son las traducciones de Google. Si sucedes hablar otra lengua, quizás podrías comentar.
Mistakes:
“Choose Your Language” translated to “Elegir tu Lengua” instead of “Elige tu Idioma”
“Watch” translated to “reloj” (clock), instead of “vigilando”.
“Dating” translated to “fecha” (date) or “fechado” (timing) instead of “citas” or “contactos personales”
“links” translated to “acoplamientos” instead of “enlaces”
“to work” translated to “trabajar” instead of “funcionar”
“how accurate” translated to “cómo es exacto” instead of “qué tan exactas”
“If you happen to speak another language” translated to “Si sucedes hablar otra lengua” instead of “En el caso de que hables otro idioma”

Puedes ver los diferentes enlaces en la zona izquierda inferior de la barra lateral. Anteriormente intenté usar los servicios de Alta Vista y
Babelfish de Yahoo provistos por Systran, pero parecía que funcionaban solamente para idiomas asiáticos. Me pregunto qué tan exactas son las traducciones efectuadas usando Google. En el caso de que hables otro idioma quizás podrías enviarnos tus comentarios.
