Mark Brooks: Nice concept. Quantcast.com shows HotEnough at 4200 uniques a month. If only I were hot enough, I could get in and tell you more about the site.
Why I would pass on this business idea:
1) one of the biggest challenges of a dating site is getting enough people together in the same physical location (critical mass).
The fact that only 25% of the people that apply get approved just compounds this issue.
2) Hot girls really don’t need to be on dating sites to find dates. Perhaps vanity will play a role but not sure this really is a major appeal for hot women. I suspect DateAMillionaire.com is more of a draw than this site for hot women
Will be interesting to see how they overcome these issues…
Dear Vanchao, I more then agree with your idea on Hot girls. Hot people don’t usually use Dating Sites.
Of course there are exceptions:
1) they came there by accident
2) out of curiosity
3) someone used their photo 😉
And I do like your strategy of making a Dating Site registration a challege for Hot people as they will be able to use that membership as another proof that they are really Hot.

This biz model won’t earn sustainable revenue at $9.95 membership but it could be a nice earner if the owner marketed the exclusive niche hottie female database to an exclusive (high flyers, big earners)high fee paying selected male target group. That would work and I suspect is in operation.
