OkCupid.com gives its members control by letting them suggest the questions to ask, and answer only the questions that matter to them. To date, OkCupid.com members have suggested more than 10,000 compatibility questions that cover topics from religion to politics and smoking to pop culture.

OkCupid has a cute approach that is very engaging and helps build an active community, but their approach to matchmaking is hardly “scientific” much less taking the compatibility concept to a new level.

I guess it’s a definitional question. We certainly have the mathematically purest approach to matching… -
Q&A as a matching tool is semi-interesting. It at least serves as an excuse to chat with someone, which may be enough of a reason to have the feature.
There may be more interesting ways to create that excuse however. -

Having said that, I don’t know what you mean by having the mathematically “purest” matching (do you mean you have the easiest/simplest/most transparent formula?). More to the point, “purest” is not synymous with best/ most effective/ or scientifically rigorous.
