At the beginning of 2007 70,000 subscribers were acquired from DatingDirect. At 3/31/07, 523,000 subscribers for the Group’s sites. Europe accounts for 91.2% of revenue and the rest of the world for 7.1%. Marc Simoncini commented,"…We will further strengthen our distribution networks with a particular emphasis on the U.K., and we will conduct an active development strategy for our Ulteem product."

You got to be very careful with using Meetic. The charging scheme for membership is really tricky. They will automatically renew your membership period and keep charging you without any notice. For example, if you purchase a monthly pass in Jan, they will notice you that they will automatically renew your pass only at the first them when they get your credit card number. Afterward, they will renew your pass and charge you monthly without any notice (…quietly) in Feb, March…until you finally find something wrong in your credit card bill. Is this really fair to users? I really doubt!
Second, their service is terrible. I wrote them a message for the charging issue mentioned above, and got no real response (other than auto-replied one) for more than three weeks (coincidently, right after I post my terrible experience with meetic at two review websites.) In their reply, they always hide behind. They send you notice that they have responded to your request but you got to login in at Meetic.com and pick up their response at your email box there. If you have further request, you got to write through their “contact me” system. Now I closed up my account at Meetic (which means I can not even login) due to the terrible experience, they still send me a notice…We confirm that we have responded to your message dated XXXXX. In order to read the response, please contect to your meetic account using you login name and password and go to the section “My emails”…
