CBS NEWS — July — Dating coach Evan Marc Katz, left, gives online profile advice during phone sessions to Tom Pandolfo, on CBS/The Early Show. With Evan’s help, Tom became "a man you can look up to." In spite of his height challenge, Tom says his profile is getting 50 to 60 views and 10 to 12 e-mails daily. FULL ARTICLE @ CBS NEWS

This article and Evan’s work with his client points out such a great approach to dealing with difficult issues such as too little height. There’s nothing like a frank, confident statement about a possible defect to short-circuit rejection or disappointment at the first meeting. Lying is so short-sighted (no pun intended). Not only do you have the original problem to deal with (in this case, height), but also you now have the lie. If I were a 5′ 3″ guy, I’d much prefer to be just short than short and a liar too.
One of the biggest stumbling blocks for singles to starting a search for love is the worry about being rejected for a perceived defect or for some secret that they are ashamed of. I deal with how to handle such topics in depth in my book “Find a Sweetheart Soon!” available at http://www.YourLoveTripPlanner.com (chapter 13). My treatment of this subject has been so popular that I now offer a free condensed version (“Do You Have a Secret? How to Tell Your Worst”) to new subscribers to my enewsletter *eMAIL to eMATE*. The article is also for sale at “Your Sweetheart Store” on my website http://www.Find-a-Sweetheart.com
By the way. I also do profile reviews, rehabs, and brand new workups for all my regular coaching clients, included for free in their coaching package. And I get regular requests for profile services only. “Profile Review and Rehabs” can be purchased through “Your Sweetheart Store” for $99. I almost always recommend new photos, too, and refer to LookBetterOnline whenever possible.
