PR NEWSWIRE — Dec 9 — Friendster announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded Facebook a new U.S. Patent, titled "Compatibility Scoring of Users in a Social Network". Friendster has been granted four patents since July 2006. Friendster's latest patent describes a unique methodology used to calculate compatibility based on expressed interests between users of a social network.
