A third of UK office workers admit to having had a fling with their boss or a colleague at their Christmas party.
According to a survey of 1,200 people carried out at the height of the Christmas party season by top dating website http://www.DateTheUK.com one third (33%) said they had sex and more than half (55%) said they had passionately kissed the boss or a colleague.
But more often than not, Christmas party flings don’t lead to anything long term – three in five people (64%) said their encounter was a one night wonder, while only one in four (27%) said it turned into something more meaningful.
DateTheUK.com boss, Max Polyakov, said: “You spend more than 2,000 hours a year with your colleagues so it’s almost inevitable you end up fancying someone at work.
“And at the Christmas party once the drinks start flowing, people lose their inhibitions and desire starts to do the talking.”

1,202 people aged 18-55 were polled through via QuestionPro for DateTheUK.com during November 2008.
