MAKING A MILLION — Dec 3 — I've used a few (white label dating) systems to run my own brands on, but most recently whitelabeldating.com and worlddatingpartners.com. I have run enough volumes, over long enough periods to produce what I consider reasonable data sets. Key Performance Indicator 1 – Rollover commission: The % of previous months commission from sales that has rolled over in to recurring commission this month. KPI 2 – 3 mth Recurring. The % of commission from sales 3 months ago, that has rolled over in to recurring commission this month.
White Label Dating First 4 Months
Rollover Commission = 72.3%
3mth Recurring = 29.3%
World Dating Partners First 4 months, Best, Last 4 months
Rollover Commission = 27.2%, 55.7%, 44.1%
3mth Recurring = 1.21%, 15.5%, 13.2%
1) with 50% rollover commission, £1000 earned commission in month 1, 6 months later this will have earned a total of £1985.
2) with 75% rollover commission, £1000 earned commission in month 1, 6 months later this will have earned a total of £3466.
This means over 6 months you'll earn 75% MORE with a rollover conversion of 75% instead of 50%. Over 12 months that's 95% more you'll earn. The rollover % is MASSIVELY important on any residual income you generate, forget conversion rates!

That’s pretty good to see 🙂
We’ve been told this by our own partners who moved across from WDP – we convert much better and put more money back in the pockets of our partners.
Our international currency support (US, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand) will allow us to support partners targeting these countries even better.
We’ll be announcing some more great news at iDate Miami 2009, very exciting times for WhiteLabelDating.com and our partners

What has happened to world dating partners I see that robert fathers has been removed as a director from the “parent” company datech ltd.

The rollover commission is one metric – it’s useful, but it is not the key metric. For example, if only 15% of your basic members are converting, and then you get high rollover/retain, it’s not going to be as good as 30% basic members converting, and then only average rollover. Many KPIs need to be considered to get the overall picture.

Anon – keep an eye on DatingFactory, he turned up with them to iDate London, then did a runner when he was spotted by our team 🙂 There’s a lot of similarities between Dating Factory and WDP – if you used the WDP system you’ll be very familiar with it.
It wouldn’t be appropriate to say in a public forum what happened to WDP (or rather Datech, the company behind it) but it’s difficult for anything in the industry to remain a secret for long, I’m pretty sure it’ll come out in January (if not before).

Thanks Ross, Very professional of you but I just dont get why nobody is talking about it! You would think the new owner?? of Datech would want to shed any association with Mr Fathers ASAP.

Hello,
As You might be aware of, there has been a change in ownership of the majority shares in Datech Ltd. Because of this, a new Management Team has been appointed.
My name is Julius Thomas and I am the coordinator for this Management Team and thus also the CEO of WDP. I have a legal and financial background and I have Masters academic degrees in both these fields having worked over 20 years with corporate efficiency programs, last three years however exclusively for Internet platforms.
________________________________________
Who we are
The Management Team consists of experienced professionals in the fields of Financial Management and Business Law as well as Technical Development, working on behalf of the new major shareholder (who remains passive in his position).
In our organization during the last decades we have made many companies very successful by restructuring their core business focusing on revenue-driving activities, new applications and designs.
Robert Fathers remains in the company and will continue to guide the company in particularly the Marketing areas.
What we can do
With our extensive contacts on the development side and on the marketing field, together with the financial and legal skills, we have already made the company significantly more efficient in all these areas.
No, we are not pragmatic “talkers” – we are creative “doers”!
We are investing heavily in supporting your business in a much more efficient manner than ever before!
What it means for WDP partners
For you as a partner this will mean:
• Your monthly Payments will always arrive on time
• Enhanced system. Initially new added tools and applications, simplified filtering logic as well as new templates and tools for SEO. These applications are being implemented now and many more new exciting ones for the coming year.
• Increased revenues for you due to extended focus on Marketing activities for bringing traffic and paying members to your site.
• Better and direct communication with the Management of Datech. We are looking to put the emphasis on the word PARTNERSHIP. Please tell us what you need and we will look into what can be done right now and what will be done later.
• More easy and extended possibilities for Joint Venture -marketing activities with WDP (we are very creative).
We highly appreciate all this time you have been working with the WDP and we are ready to co-operate as productive as possible. From December you will be sent regular newsletter again, to keep you up to date with all the changes that have happened and are going to happen to the system
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions, I will be happy to get any feedback good or bad.
Best regards,
Julius Thomas – CEO

I would be very suprised if you or one of your guys had not written your glowing comparision in your favour. I was and still am a major partner of WDP and have tried your system. Their’s performs substantially better than yours does.
Robert Fathers has nothing to do with Dating Factory and neither has he ever had anything to do with the company. He was also not at iDate in London so you did not see him. If you kept up to date with the industry you would know that Robert is the President of WDP.
Your on going insinuation about similarities between WDP and Dating Factory have no foundation what so ever.
Why don’t you just let your system do the talking, instead of wasting your time with your eternal muck raking. Get a life.

I think you’ll find that Robert was indeed at iDate, or at the very least he helped carry in the booth for you guys the night before. That was of course, until he was seen by a number of individuals and make a quick exit!

Well until you have the balls to say who you are, it’s easy for you to keep perpetuating this sort of lie. As you know because, your name is probably Frank Dethridge, Tanya Fathers was at the show with us and is our CEO.
As Robert and Tanya are still have contact regarding their daughter, I happen to know for certain that Robert was in Prague with his new girlfriend. So I’m not certain how he carried our stand into the show.
The dating factory booth was errected by George Carter & myself on the morning of the show, and we also brought it up from the cellar.
Of course by jumping back into the discussion Anon, you have confirmed what a sham your posting in favour of WLD is, as Ross said before that some of the WLD staff had seen Robert, that would be you.
Do the people at WLD really believe that anyone worth doing business is taken in by any of this frankly pathetic self serving attempts at marketing.
It does however give me a great deal of confidence that you wont be around very long and wont be competing very long when you have competition from experienced seasoned professionals.
I’m sure Ross will distance himself from the loyal Anon as he did from the sycophantic John Aardman who was also a WLD employee writing stuff critising the competition while saying how fantastic WLD are. Funny the same guy registered with us and was traced back to WLD.
I’m sure there is a boy scout camp outside Windsor somewhere that would find your stories fascinating and your tatics clever. You might struggle to find a grown up who is sucked in by it though.

Hi Mark,
Frank here, I can assure you that anon is not myself. I did not attend iDate the evening before the show began (as anon mentions this is when it happened). At the end of the day I think you have a fair point about letting systems talk for themselves but as I am sure you are aware and can appreciate; the system is only half the battle. Yes competition is great for any industry and is the best circumstances for companies to demonstrate how innovative and creative they can be with their technology but there is so much more to partnerships than just the technology. WLD made it to the top because of the effectiveness of the entire partner and member experience. Localised call centres, tailored partner CRM plans and advice on in depth marketing strategies are just some of the factors that count. It’s all about a complete quality service. As for who will and who won’t be around in the future is solely for partners to decide.

Well nice to see you come out into the open Frank.
I agree wholly that we should let our systems do the talking, you are preaching to the converted here at dating factory.
I’m happy to let the customers decide and may the best man win. Even better, just imagine there is room in the market for all of us to operate. WLD wont become a monoploy. Monopolys are a bad thing for any market, they stifle innovation and ultimately growth.
You just need to convince your boss that mud slinging isn’t an effective marketing strategy and we’ll all get on just fine.
I refuse however to allow him to have the field to abuse, criticise and fabricate things about anyone and anything he feels fit. He acts like some sort of self designated “King of Dating”.
So here is my manifesto;
I have and never will take a backward step.
I will jump on every transgression Ross and his organisation chooses to make.
If my software and service is rubbish I deserve to fail.
This is a marketplace like any other and not Ross’ personal Bannana Republic.

Hi Mark – just had this flagged to me.
If you feel I’ve fabricated anything or lied then you should take me to task for it, I’ll certainly look forward to hearing from any lawyers.
I don’t know what has happened recently to upset you but by all means drop me a line as I think there may be some wires crossed for you to get fired up like that.
I’m sorry you feel I’ve designated myself “King of Dating” – I prefer the term Consigliere 😉
This is my last comment on the matter but always happy to hear from anyone direct.
Thanks,
Ross

Well well the great man himself puts in an appearance. At least without a psuedonym.
While you are on read your post from the 26th November and think about how malicious that sounds and how unfounded it is.
Consigleri is also appropriate as they are usually the advisors to the Mafia, sort of gives away where you get your methods from however probably overplays your intellect a bit.
Happy to stop now. I’ve got customers to deal with.

This thread is yet another example of why I and most other people versed in the world of private label dating have a difficult time recommending specific vendors. I just point people to these threads and tell them to go with their gut.
Running a thriving white label dating site depends on the site manager being an expert online marketer with a big pile of money to support advertising initiatives. If you’re not those two things you’re not going to be successful. It’s as simple as that. Of course there are issues with templates, administrative functions and customer service, but in this day and age of being able to purchase any sort of traffic you want immediately, it’s really all about how hot the women in your ads are.
This may seem counter-intuitive to my above comment about being an expert marketer, but your traffic sources are key and being able to identify lucrative partners is incredibly important. Most people running a white label site don’t have enough domain knowledge or resources to be competitive in the space.
How appropriate that the article that started all of this is not even reachable.

Happy to talk to you directly Ross. Please feel free to come over to the dating factory booth at iDate in Miami for a chat. I understand you don’t have one yourself happy to help you out.

Wow – it’s interesting to see how much turbulence a little post by me well over a year ago has caused.
The reason the original post is no longer is available is because I took the blog down! I wanted to distance myself from constant requests to join different affiliate programs. I have my own company, we have developed our own sites and I wanted to concentrate on these instead. Feel free to check out my new blog “>http://www.timrees.net if you want to know more.
It looks like these comments did reach some sort of conclusion: There is space for several white label dating providers. There will always be a different options that work best for different people. Some partners are large companies, some individuals working at home, some need customisation tools, some need a lot of marketing help, some need in depth stats… the list goes on.
I still have WLD sites and I am unlikely to change. I am happy with the service I’ve received to date and any change would take time and cause issues. As long as they make money from the traffic I send that’s all that matters to me.
As has been suggested in one comment, I have never had anything to do with WLD other than run sites on their platform. The original post was purely based on the statistics I had access to from running sites on both WLD and WDP.
I was once involved with WDP, both as a large partner and working directly for them. When I stopped working there it also made sense to move my sites WLD. Whether you look at conversions, roll-over rates, retention rates or anything else, I was pleased to have moved my sites because I ran the same traffic in the UK and made more money.
I know nothing about the Dating Factory system or their performance metrics. I am sure it works well enough as it seems to be a cleaned up version of what WDP had and it’s ran by people who know what they are doing.
As for WDP, I know nothing more than anyone else about it’s new owners and what will become of the company. If there is to be lots of changes and improvements then I see that as a good thing for them and their current partners/affiliates.
Knowing some history of WDP, Robert Fathers (still President at WDP according to it’s new owners) and Tanya Fathers (CEO of Dating Factory), the suggestion that Robert is involved in Dating Factory seems to me ridiculous. But again, what do I know!
My advice to any serious partner wanting to set up a site and want to throw a lot of money at it is very simple. Just like any business pick up the phone and give your potential new business partners a call, go with who you feel most confident with.
