OUT&ABOUT — Jan 1 – In accordance with their settlement agreement, eHarmony has created a separate site dedicated to matching same-sex couples called Compatible Partners. Although this site will use the same questionnaire to match same sex couples, the site comes with a hefty disclaimer warning that this new matchmaking site was not created with the use of extensive data on what makes a compatible same-sex couple. eHarmony's straight users and their newly acquired homosexual users will remain completely separate.

This is so beyond ridiculous. When is someone going to shout that the emperor has no clothes?
Of course eHarmony doesn’t have a clue about gay matching. It isn’t what they do! Their whole KSF is the years and years (and years) of research on *straight* couples!
Them caving in is has been more than talked about (not just by me), but this quote from the article sums it up:
““Sure, you see a site like Eharmony and you think, yeah, that would work great. But if they are saying that they’re going to toss up a site for gays without doing their research, then what’s the point? Why should we give them our business? Why support them if they don’t really support us?” Ferarra said.”
They DON’T SUPPORT YOU (rightly or wrongly). So, why would anyone in the gay community want to patronise them?
The mind boggles.
As for this quote, “…It seems the predominant defense tactic of those who choose to discriminate against homosexuals is to hide behind the archaic definition of marriage…”
*Archaic*? According to whom? Across all time, cultures, religions (including atheism/secularism in modern times), & geography, marriage has been between a MAN and a WOMAN.
In the US, every time there has ever been a proposition concerning gay “marriage” in *any* state, it has, without exception, been voted down.
One can hardly (at all) call one man-one-woman marriage archaic.
