PRESS RELEASE — Mar 19 — Dr Helen Fisher, the chief scientific advisor to match.com has revealed the science behind successful relationships after testing the romantic chemistry of nearly 30,000 singles.
Chemicals such as dopamine, oestrogen, serotonin or testosterone are most dominant in the brain. The balance of these chemicals helps create four different personality types which can then be used to determine how compatible people are.
The four personality types are explorers, builders, negotiators and directors.
Explorers, ruled by dopamine, tend to be novelty seeking, risk-taking and spontaneous and tend to work well with other explorers.
Serotonin is the dominant chemical in builders, people who are calm, conscientious, loyal and cautious. Negotiators (oestrogen) are imaginative, intuitive and compassionate and they have good people skills while directors, who are ruled by testosterone, are more direct, decisive, competitive and often musical. Directors and Negotiators are better with each other than with a person sharing the same characteristics. FULL ARTICLE @ RESPONSE SOURCE

It seems like online dating is taking a very scientific turn. Does people actually like this? I’m looking forward to find out. In my opnion it’s a very boring and passion-killing route to finding a partner.. I don’t think we’ll ever take that route. But let’s see.

“Dr. Helen Fisher, …. has revealed the science behind successful relationships …”
revealed the science behind successful relationships?
Her research was quite innovative and important but ….
She did not say any word about if there is a Success Indicator for Chemistry (and worldwide rebranded names Daily5, Cupido Diario, Afinesati, Com-Bacio, MatchMe, Chemie, Alchimie, Amor) or not.
e.g: Success Indicator = persons who leave the site because they think they had found someone highly compatible for long_term_mating with commitment.
To my best knowledge, Chemistry (USA site) has a low successful “1.2.3 MEET in person step-by-step process”, low successful first meeting rate for its members
and
its matching method only reported early stage attraction between prospective mates and after the first meeting; in some persons attraction reduces its level OR worse even, morphs/metamorphoses to rejection i.e. it is working only for short_term_mating!!!
Chemistry (and worldwide rebranded names) is only fueled by a big marketing budget.
“Dr. Fisher is a research professor of anthropology and one of the world’s leading experts on the nature of romantic love and attachment. Her research and her unique personality test are the subject of a new book ‘Why Him? Why Her? A guide to finding and keeping your perfect match’, has spent nearly five years developing her concept. ”
Dr. Helen Fisher SHOULD prove that Chemistry matches persons who will have more stable and satisfying relationships than couples matched by chance, astrological destiny, personal preferences, searching on one’s own, or other technique as the control group.
