Reminds me of Wendy Freedman’s Lawdate. A super-niche if there ever was one. Lots of these have launched, with little success. What will it take to get laywers on the site? Ads on legal sites, inclusion in newsletters, parties, alliances with state legal groups and a lot more. Nice small business if you can make a go of it.

I thought it would be good to create a site for doctors, called hospitaldate.com but there didn’t seem to be much interest. Its sort of like a needle in a haystack. There probably aren’t a lot of single lawyers to begin with, then it is difficult to market and find these single lawyers to sign up to the site. Many also don’t want to mix their professional and personal lives in such a potentially embarrassing way, especially with professional organizations. It just makes more sense to filter through a bigger site by profession.
