PRESS RELEASE – Jan 7 - CityDate has launched a dating site, SensualityDating.com, which caters to women seeking romantic experiences without commitment. SensualityDating features a virtual dating app which allows people to get to know each other in a virtual coffee shop or a restaurant, flirt and explore their chemistry. SensualityDating is “100% Free for Life” for every member that signs up before March, 31st 2010.
This site is doomed. Women don’t typically seek romantic experiences without commitment. In fact, commitment equals romance to most women. It’s the old survival of the species biology game. This has to be a man’s idea, or, a boardroom full of men who thought this one up. A woman would have pointed out the problem immediately, and steered this ship in a different direction. Just pointing out the obvious.

I think SensualityDating is actually addressing an untapped need for many women! People are not one-dimensional. Just as not all men are scared of commitment, not all women want ONLY security of commitment. At various stages in their lives, many women seek sensual experiences – not sex – but our online choice is still largely limited to sites that focus either on commitment or on sex.
Online dating is evolving and it’s great to see that the industry is expanding the categories available for women to choose from … I commend SensualityDating! Niche sites are not for everyone, by definition. Women interested in the commitment thing should register on eHarm. Clearly SensualityDating is for women who want a fulfilling sensual experience.

There are so many casual dating sites out there. But all of them are so explicit. This would be a nice twist for the more stylish ladies out there. If nothing else it’s worth a shot. Think about all the sex talk in sex and the city. Still it’s hollywood, but there’s some truth to that. I guess we’ll find out soon.

Not that I don’t like to see people try to come up with new and innovative dating niches, but this is a false start. It features virtual dating based on Omnidate. Highly motivated women desiring NSA sex are not going to spend time in a virtual chat room. Maybe the nervous ones will pay to flirt, as many men do on adult sites who never plan on meeting anyone in person, in which case the Omnidate partnership makes sense. But horny women paying to join a niche dating site looking for sex? I just don’t see it. That’s what sites like Mate1 are for.

Even on adult / casual dating sites the majority of the female members don’t want to engage in video chat. The process to an actual sexual experience is slower for women. I think integrating avatar based chat is a very smart move to make the female members feel more comfortable. They can upload videos to the website should they want to. Most members will choose to take it outside of the website anyway eventually. Video messengers like skype are much more suitable for video chat than any webbased application.
But it will be an interesting site to follow for sure..
