The dating world in each market is dominated by 1 or 2 major players with no niche sites which creates a big opportunity. Niche dating sites require less members to be viable, the critical mass is ~3K-5K members and there is a low cost of acquisition per member, according to Mark Harrison. However VAT is a major expense in Europe (18-25%). "To legally avoid VAT, don't do business with companies from your home country", advised Mark.
