FOX NEWS – June 23 – Sugardaddy.com is a dating site that connects “sugar daddies” with “sugar babies” or “sugar mommas.” The site has a disclaimer that prohibits members from offering money in exchange for sex, saying any such violations will result in the cancellation of membership and banning from the site. “Prostitution is about sex for money … and women who rely on these interactions to support themselves – this is their profession,” says Noel Biderman, CEO of Avid Life Media who runs a similar Sugar Daddy dating site called EstablishedMen.com. “Sugar daddy relationships are real women who are interested in being with men who are willing to spend their disposable income on the lifestyle."

This is a fascinating corner of both the internet dating industry, and our sociosexual culture. Seeking Arrangement is the most outright ‘proposition’ site in the sugar daddy niche.
Ultimately, I think this is hairy ground for legislation and policing, but as long as women don’t request or negotiate terms, I think it’s ok. The offense begins when a women is outright in her negotiations and clearly and actively ‘seeking an arrangement.’ That becomes prostitution.
The implicit idea of dating a sugar baby is that you treat her like a princess, or lose her to the next guy.

The whole idea that prostitution is illegal boggles my mind. Apparently it is somehow exploitative because women are being paid for use of their bodies. But apparently paying someone minimum wage to clean the bathrooms at your multi-million dollar office building is not exploitative. Nor is paying someone wash your Mercedes. In both cases, you are paying for use of their body in rather demeaning jobs.
It’s perfectly legal for you to pay for someone to massage your entire body for an hour with their hands. If they charge you to do the same thing with their lips, it’s illegal.
It’s perfectly legal for you to meet a woman at a bar, buy her drinks and dinner and take her home for sex. Doesn’t matter that it might have cost you over $100. That’s legal. However, ask for a guarantee of sex upfront in the negotiations and that’s illegal.
And of course it’s perfectly legal for a dating site to have women have men bid for dates with them as long as they don’t promise sex.
Without evoking use of the bible (because mixture of Church and State is still protected by the Constitution thank God) , can somebody please explain to me the societal gain by not legalizing prostitution?

As the old saying goes “that’s how women get jewelry!”
The societal problem with free love, polygamy, promiscuity, and prostitution is the actual sex, but the consequences including female slavery from pimps, drug addiction, diseases/STD/HIV, and pregnancy. Just because women can work it with the sexual revolution, doesn’t mean that there isn’t a strong violent pimp exploiting her.

This question has been asked about so many dating sites and i do not think sex is the only thing that is being sold to people here. Two people can meet with the intent of sex and end up not having sex. So i do not think Sugar daddy dating sites are mainly for prostitution.
