Courtland brooks conducted a survey of 6 companies (SalesProfiles.com, Evercurrent.com, Saledatingprofiles.com, Saledatingprofiles.net, Buyprofiles.com and Profilenetwork.com) who claim to sell active profiles. The majority of the profile sellers refused to say where they get their profiles from and Saledatingprofiles.net even became aggressive and left the chat when we tried to push the issue. Of all of these providers, only one is worthy of any attention, Buyprofiles.com. We DO NOT recommend buying in mass profiles. But if you succumb to buy profiles you should only keep them on your site for 3-4 weeks in conjunction with a considerable advertising We DO recommend doing co-reg deals with other sites. You need to be ready to spend some money to stock the shelves with people, real people, before you'll be able to sell anything and start making money. I just launched http://www.meet4dates.com and debated doing this and decided that while it would be a struggle it isn’t worth the potential backlash to buy profiles. Though it will take more time I think it is best to start at 0 and be proud of that fact I have even used it as part of our marketing campaign.

They took my money after I explained my hosting package and then advised me to change hosting AFTER taking my money and refused to upload.
I put in a claim to paypal for refuend and they used my password to get in and change the paypal details saying case closed.
Got myself to blame giving them root access password as I did use it for pay pal as well .. Learnt my lesson .. ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS they should be turfed out of the internet ..

Buying dating profiles is good but don’t keep them on forever. Wait until you build a good member base of real profiles then remove them. They are good for starter sites only. I don’t recommend adding them to existing profiles unless you very few profiles.

Wise words. But these profiles aren’t responsive without bonafied email addresses. They’re not serving user expectations. Users need to be able to shut down their profiles when they’re done with a site, usually because they’re no longer single and don’t want to be perenially harangued by rogue dating sites.

I think as long as the profiles are up to date (and yes, don’t keep them forever because people change emails all the time) your dating website should be able to attract a lot of new subscribers. There are a few of them out there. Some of our customers have used purchase-dating-profiles.com. While they aren’t that great at customer service the profiles work with our software.
Keep this in mind. Profiles should only be used to show a site has some content. Never login as the profiles and email people from them. That is unethical and illegal and people have gone to jail for it.
Once you get a good profile base of real people, be sure to go back and remove the profiles.

You have to get your name out there and market like hell to get people in. Sure it is better chances with user on a site vs an empty site. I have been doing this for 20 years and I still have to get a site that is pulling in revenue,

But, the big question I am going to have is: Am I going to be bombard with emails of people trying to contact me with concerns of being on a site they did not sigh up for.

I know with the experience of doing this, that this is most likely how these guys started, but they also had a marketing budget to advertise properly. But, what if people knew how the profiles on their sites were generated, I am sure there would not be anybody joining. this is a slippery slope…

The profiles are good, the company is legitimate and the owner is personable. I had an issue with the delivery time, but it was explained to me it was because I hads a small order. However being a new niche site, that is the smartest way to go. I couldnt have 15 members and then magically the next day have 5,000,000, lol. A marketing campaign was an easier explain. My only issue with USDate is that they stopped accepting business from me, because I use Paypal for my and their protection. I requested a refund on day 5 of still no delivery. The owner resolved the issue with me and I am satisfied. Would I do business with them again? Yes I would, I need them now, as all others are disgustingly over priced and will never see my business. Someone will over the years though.
