TELEGRAPH.CO.UK – July 6 – 51Taonan (IWantMan.com), a chinese dating site, has launched a nationwide manhunt on behalf of 36 female millionaires. Johnny Du, the CEO of 51Taonan.com aims to find suitable husbands for them. Dating is big business in China, a country that is reputedly home to ~180M singles. Baihe.com was making annual profits of ~£20M from its 36M registered users. Wealthy women faces prejudice. “Wealthy men don’t necessarily want a wife as successful as them." So far ~1,500 men have signed up, including one Australian and several applicants from the US and Canada.
