I don’t understand this, as Cupid is largely adult dating oriented. Match doesn’t do ‘adult.’ Or at least it hasn’t in the past. The closest they’ve gotten is with their whips & chains S&M dating site Alt Match which they shuttered ~8 years ago.

Why would a publicly-traded company whose share price has dipped by 20% over the last year (http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/prices-and-markets/stocks/summary/company-summary-chart.html?fourWayKey=GB00B4NJ4984GBGBXAMSM) want people to think that they’re going to be acquired by a large publicly-traded competitor who would pay a significant premium over the value of the shares, encouraging ill-informed investors to buy more shares thus pushing up the share price?
I have no idea at all. Nope, can’t think where that rumour came from.
Either that or Match have had a massive change in their strategy. But I wouldn’t bet on it 😉
