HERALD SCOTLAND – Mar 6 – Cupid has ordered a confidence-building independent audit of its member database. The move comes a month after the airing of claims that customers were lured into paying subscriptions to Cupid sites after receiving messages from users who disappeared when they signed up. Cupid will also seek an independent audit of its customers' experiences.

Independent audit?? Don’t make me laugh.
It’s a sop to keep the press happy – they won’t do an “independent” audit. They will do a cover up and dress it up and say they have a number of test accounts, and say that they will put procedures in place to make sure no member of any of their dating sites ever gets spammed.
