AFP RELAX NEWS – July 21 – In 1920, the marriage rate was 92.3. Now, it has plummeted to 31.01, according to the National Center for Family and Marriage Research. U.S. women are also waiting longer to walk down the aisle for the first time. Since 1970, the marriage rate has declined by ~60%. A woman's average age at first marriage is now 27 years old.
