BUSINESS WEEK – Jan 3 – Today, Tinder’s users are finding fake profiles for The Mindy Project actors Mindy Kaling and Chriss Messina and appeals to watch the Fox sitcom. The ad campaign follows a similar July tie-in with the USA Network (CMSCA) program Suits, which didn’t bring Tinder any revenue.

The dating industry suffers for lack of investment interest. Public companies have underperformed the market the last couple of years. We need to figure out how to make money from advertising and add a new spectrum of revenues to our offerings. POF seems to have done ok with advertising. Lets see if Tinder keeps up with their advertising. If they do, there’s signs of hope for iDating advertising.
