TELEGRAPH.CO.UK – Mar 15 – Tinder, the dating app that often comes across as a sex app, is trying to change its image to show it supports female empowerment. The app has teamed up with Amnesty International. The new Tinder ad shows images of a man being swiped to the left, and then has the message: “Not all women have the choices you do. You pick your partner. Many women aren’t given a choice.” The positive ad is a step in the right direction, but Tinder is still a long way from empowering women.

What does YOUR dating site stand for?
These days, if you don’t stand for anything, you’re on your knees.
People buy from people. Not faceless corporations. If you’re going to make your brand characterful, it needs to show support to humanity. Build your brand by building its humanity. Even if its deemed contrived and controversial to start with, if you’re consistent people will come to believe you and support you and your brand.
