TECH CRUNCH – Apr 24 – Just three months after its public launch, Delightful, the startup that helped build “tailored dates” for couples short on time, has shut down. It’s in a competitive market: HowAboutWe has been operating a similar service for couples for some time.

Could it be that — despite the HUGE size and PAIN in the couples market — that not enough couples are willing (or, ready) to protect their most valuable asset from falling into disrepair, despair or divorce? It probably had more to do with a lack of customers and people willing to spend money on a subscription for dinners/activities. Couples have expensive kids and other things. There is also Groupon for couples looking for cheap date stuff. Unsuccessful marketing could have also hurt its chances.
