THE GUARDIAN – July 17 – There are three kinds of spams that are making money from affiliate fees, according to a report from online security firm Symantec:
- Adult webcam spammers – bots that engage people in conversation to make them click on links to webcam sites.
- A bot that tries to direct people to mobile games and adult sites.
- Fake prostitution profiles.
