REUTERS – Apr 1 – eHarmony has signed on at least 2 big partners for 6-month trials – AT&T Inc and American Airlines, Dan Erickson said, adding that organizations with a workforce of around 1,000 would hypothetically pay $10K annually once the service is priced. "Our goal is to have 10 to 20 of those foundational partners on board to help us continue to refine the technology and pricing," he said. The company expects its recruitment business to account for about 60% of its total revenue within 3 years. eHarmony had expected 2015 revenue to grow to between $275 million and $350 million.

South Asian Dating App Dil Mil Raised $2.7M
WSJ – Mar 31 – Dil Mil Chief Executive KJ Dhaliwal realized apps like Tinder, Hinge and Coffee Meets Bagel weren't inclusive of the needs of the South Asian community, where dating can be taboo and arranged marriages still occur. Mr. Dhaliwal said 90% of South Asians marry within their own community and those users needed their own app. His matchmaking app Dil Mil has now made ~1.3M matches. The company recently raised another ~$2.7M. It has raised $3.8M in seed financing to date.

eHarmony Finally Launches Website For Jobseekers
SHRM – Mar 31 – Elevated Careers by eHarmony aims to create perfect match for employers. eHarmony's Elevated Careers aims to match candidates with immediate supervisors in three areas: areas: skills, culture and personality, said Dan Erickson, GM of Elevated Careers. For now, only one-on-one matching is available on the site. The company hopes to match new candidates with their potential colleagues, too. Eventually, everyone involved would need to take a 15-20 minute survey of 150 questions. Software company Burning Glass Technologies, which provides the HR sector with resume processing and predictive matching, is eHarmony's partner on skills assessment. But it will use its own algorithm to match people based on 16 facets of company culture and eight personality factors.
Nissan Is Playing Cupid
NEWS.COM.AU – Apr 1 – Nissan Australia wanted to try and connect single drivers with its N-Connect App. Based on a study by the University of Cambridge, Nissan drivers were dubbed the most "loyal" and "friendly" among European car owners. Users of N-Connect would be able to meet others by hitting on a love symbol inside the car to show their interest in each other.

TransferWise is known for its provocative publicity stunts. In January 2015, the Estonian money transfer app sent a dozen nearly naked employees running through London to protest banks' "unfair exchange rates." TransferWise refused to let the company open a business account because of the "nature of the business".
