OPW – Feb 12 – Greg Liberman started at Spark in 2004 as their general council and was CEO of Spark for 3 years from 2011 thru 2014 when Osmium ousted him and some of his colleagues. What's Greg up to now? For the last year and a half he's been working with a very different matchmaker. He's been running PuppySpot.com, which matchmakes puppies with owners. A very nice cause indeed. He's grown the site from zero to 1.1 million visits last month according to Similarweb, which is actually more traffic than Spark Networks signature property JDate.com managed last month. JDate had 977k estimated visits. Congrats to Greg in his new role. Our burning question…are puppies easier to match than people?

Yup, way easier.
Guess he got tired of the low success rate matching people with people. Matching puppies and people is a simpler process. 🙂

Just bumped into him at an event at UCLA two weekends ago. I think he still remembers when I described in detail when we met in 2012 when I expressed massive concerns about the path the company was taking and why they were hemorrhaging members.
I actually found this article when I was trying to figure out when John Lewis over at Osmium ousted him.
