Evolve App Is A Dating And Relationship Manager

Posted on May 9, 2017

Evolve screenshotTHE VERGE – May 9 – Evolve is a new app that bills itself as a "dating and relationships manager". It helps singles keep track of their romantic options they have at any given time. The four founders raised $1M in seed funding. Every time users go on a date, they rate it from 1 to 10, type in if they got a smooch, more, or whether they'd rather not say. Users can also add pros and cons. The more info they input about a potential romantic partner over time, the more the app will tell them about whether they like them.

Gymder Is Tinder For Gym Lovers

Posted on May 9, 2017

Gymder screenshotsQUEERTY – May 9 – New social networking/dating app Gymder bills itself as the "Instagram/Tinder For Athletes". It's a place for gym lovers to connect with one another to take gym selfies together then go home and hookup. Some calls the app creepy and narcissistic. The app was developed by a team of fitness professionals in Munich and borrows a page from Hillary Clinton's 2016 playbook for its tagline: "Stronger. Together. Gymder."

Why Momo Jumped Another 12% In April

Posted on May 8, 2017

Momo app logoTHE MOTLEY FOOL – May 8 – After climbing ~30% in March, shares of Momo grew another nearly 12% in April. The Chinese company has been pivoting over the past year from a dating app to a social-media platform, and it seems to be working. Momo shares are not cheap following their huge rise in the past year, trading now at ~50 times earnings. However, as the company continues to grow at astronomical rates, the stock is trading at just 20 times expected next year's earnings. If the company can keep up this growth for a few years, its stock is likely to continue climbing much higher as well.
