Singles who have found themselves seriously unlucky in love can dial 1-888-302-6224 to connect with one of the dating service's highly trained relationship experts. The service goes live on November 25, will run for a two-week period, and is available from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST during weekends.

Dating.com Acquires Dil Mil App for South Asian Expats
TECH CRUNCH – Nov 25 – The Dating.com Group, an investment of SDVentures, has acquired Dil Mil, a San Francisco-based dating app for expats from India and other South Asian countries. The acquisition was via a combination of cash and Dating.com Group stock. According to Dating.com, the deal values the company at up to $50M. CEO and founder KJ Dhaliwal will continue to manage the company and will join Dating.com Group's M&A and Strategy committees, as well as the Dating.com Group Advisory Board. Dil Mil has effectively become the 'Tinder for South Asians', has ~1M users in the US, UK, & Canada, and has spread its influence both via the app, as well as events, music, and art. The portfolio of Dating.com Group already includes numerous brands including Dating.com, DateMyAge, LovingA, Tubit, AnastasiaDate, ChinaLove and others.

A S’porean Invested $160K to Develop an ‘Instagram for Dating’
VULCAN POST – Nov 25 – Singaporean Nelson Tan has launched a dating app Klick which he describes as an "Instagram for dating". Klick lets users showcase their personality through photo posts. Fortunately, Nelson managed to get his wife on board his mission, asking if she would rather spend on a wedding dinner where guests would have forgotten about by the next week, or use the money to create this app. They invested $160K. Since the app's official launch on Valentine's Day this year, Klick has gotten ~3K users to date. As for his monetisation strategy for Klick, Nelson shared that "unlike 'free' dating apps that require payment to chat, post, or browse, he wanted Klick to be really free". He is currently "working on unobtrusive in-app ads".

MTV Released Study About Seeking Validationon Dating Apps
YOUR TANGO – Nov 22 – An MTV News & MTV Insights study found that 61% of respondents between ages 18 and 29 were more interested in discovering who found them attractive than actually dating them. Additionally, 30% of dating app users prefer casual dating for the short-term ego boost and 42% want a long-term relationship.
Tinder’s Sean Rad Accused of Secretly Recording Employees and Bosses
LOS ANGELES TIMES – Nov 22 – IAC alleged in a new court filing that Rad secretly recorded multiple conversations with Tinder employees and his supervisors, potentially violating California law requiring both parties to consent to being recorded. Attorneys for Rad responded with a motion to dismiss the amended claim, arguing that the recordings and transfers of company files did not violate the terms of his employment, though some may have violated California law. The new filing also raised the amount of damages sought to $400M.
