Germany’s Perspective on Diversity and Gender

Parship logo 2019PRESS RELEASE – Parship, in collaboration with Innofact, surveyed 1K individuals about diversity and love in Germany. Findings showed love has minimal boundaries.

  • 69% of respondents support discussions on gender identities and sexual orientations, with a stronger inclination among women (74%) and those aged 18-29 (73%).
  • 34% feel uncertain about diversity due to a lack of knowledge, but many among the younger generation wish to learn more.
  • 52% believe there are just two genders, and 54% oppose gender stereotypes in product designs.
  • Younger age groups and women advocate for more visibility of gender diversity in brand advertising and dating apps.
  • 7% identify as non-binary, while 10% don't strictly identify as male or female in Germany.

The team plans to expand to major South African cities and then to London and the USA.

Grindr Faces Ban Call in South Africa After User Attacks

The Meet Group Hosts Global HACKD Hackathon

The Meet Group logoLINKEDIN – The Meet Group organized a hackathon event called HACKD, led by Gal Blank, Director of Engineering. The event, based in the NewHope office in the US, was the first hybrid format post-Covid and resulted in 50 project ideas. Over 80 participants from countries like the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Poland, and Bulgaria brainstormed on the latest tech trends. Activities included brainstorming sessions, meals, and even a Ping Pong tournament. The event culminated in presentations of 24 projects, from back-office tools to Apple Virtual Reality streaming. Participants voted on their favorites, with winners selecting team activities as prizes. Due to its success, another HACKD event is scheduled for next spring.
