ATLANTA NEWS FIRST – Hinge is addressing the increasing loneliness among Gen Z by launching the "One More Hour" initiative. This program aims to counteract the lack of in-person connection that today's young adults experience, estimated at 1,000 fewer hours annually. To support this cause, Hinge, in collaboration with DoSomething Strategic and the Foundation for Social Connection, is creating a $1M fund. Josh Penny, Hinge's director of social impact, explained that the fund would provide grants ranging from $10K to $25K to eligible organizations in Atlanta. These organizations can apply for the grants starting January 8, 2024, with the application period closing on January 30, 2024. The initiative involves a panel of young adults who will help identify and select the groups to receive the funding.
