REUTERS – Oct 14 – The CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media wants to double the market value of the German broadcaster in the next three to five years. Max Conze said he sees ProSieben's portfolio of Internet investments in companies such as online dating agency Parship or online beauty retailer Flaconi as the main lever for a higher market capitalisation. "That was nothing five years ago, today it is worth 2B euros ($2.31B) and should double in five years," he said.

Q&A With Jaumo’s co-Founders
REALBUSINESS.CO.UK – Oct 11 – Benjamin Roth and Jens Kammerer were university friends who had already started a thriving social network company when they dreamed up Jaumo, a fuss-free dating and chat app.
Q: How did you start the business?
Jens: We both studied Business Informatics, so that's where we met. I founded my first company, a local social network in Germany called Kwick, in 1999 and Benjamin joined in 2000. Kwick was acquired in 2011 and in the same year, we decided to found Jaumo.
Q: How did you facilitate your growth?
Benjamin: In the beginning, we used the profits we had generated from Kwick to fund Jaumo. We also leveraged Kwick to attract the first customers of Jaumo. The overall growth, in the beginning, was slow but increased after we hit the first 7M users in 2014. Only two years later, we reached 10M users and growth accelerated from there.
Q: How did you keep your business lean?
Jens: During the first 6 years, the company was operated by just the two of us. After we reached 20M users, we decided to bring on new team members to help. We have 20 employees now. As a 100% remote company, we have no offices and work together with a team distributed across 10 different countries.
Q: How do you manage the competition?
Jens: By staying lean and flexible in our business model.

THE BRUSSELS TIMES – Oct 5 – The trial of the company responsible for the site RichMeetBeautiful, and its boss Sigurd V., began last Friday before the 47th division of the Brussels Criminal Court. Last year, RichMeetBeautiful released a campaign on the ULB campuses. The campaign encouraged female students, aged 18 to 26, called "sugar babies", to be supported by middle-aged and comfortably-off men, "sugar daddies", by meeting them on the site. Last March, the Belgian courts also ordered that the site be blocked by Belgian Internet Service Providers.
